Just a reminder to anyone intersted that David Peterson’s Mouse Guard Roleplaying Game (hardcover) ships this week!
Now, I don’t really play tabletop roleplaying games, but like other roleplaying titles I’ve picked up in the past, I jumped at the chance to own this as a means of delving further into the world Peterson has created, in the hopes of watching it spring up into an even richer place as he goes more into depth on Guard Mice, Lockhaven, surrounding areas and the characters and the culture there. Given the quality of the writing and illustration found in Mouse Guard, this will no doubt be a great companion piece to the comics, and will look great on the bookshelf next to the hardcovers already released, and in the works – sporting the same dimensions no less. And who knows, even if I don’t strictly play the game, this stuff is so good that maybe I’ll have no choice but to create some characters and an adventure or two (or three or four…) of my own in some fashion.
